Eye Care and

We are a team of Eye Care Providers who are dedicated to professional, friendly service. Our practices operate in the General Optometric field but specialise in Low Vision Care, Advanced Contact Lens Fittings, Myopia Control, and Diabetic Eye Care. The detection of Pathology and the establishment of appropriate Treatment Protocols are paramount to our practices. General screening tests and other Essential Eye Care services form part of our daily routine.

Hollander Optometrists was established on 7 April 1981. We are a privately owned family practice with a “can-do” attitude. Our practices focus on delivering quality service and products to our patients with a friendly and helpful attitude.

Our Specialist Equipment
We use a range of specialist equipment on our premises in order to provide our patients with the best care possible, using the highest quality equipment.

Recording and/or inspecting the inside and outside aspects of the eye.

Non-invasive scans of eye structures for pathology and contact lens fits.

Measuring corneal thickness for pathology verification as well as LASIK suitability.

Automated spectacle prescription readings and corneal topography.

Measures the Intraocular Pressures (IOP), and used in the detection of Glaucoma.

Used to measure the length of the eyeball in Myopia Control.

OUR OPTICAL LABORATORY
We have a fully-fledged optical laboratory in our Kuils River practice.
We import spectacle frames as well as spectacle lenses from overseas. Our laboratory is thus able to cut and fit lenses into frames, very often while you wait. In addition our technicians are able to do extensive repairs on spectacles like frame adjustments, rejuvenating spectacles, making of ptosis crutches, individualising of colour clip-ons cut and fitted to spectacles. Our motto is “if it can be done, we will do it in our laboratory”.
